What is Astrology?
Astrology is the study of the connection between celestial objects and the movements of the Earth, Sun, and other planets. The most ancient and widely held theory is that of a direct connection between the Earth, Sun, and a group of celestial objects called planets. These objects move in specific patterns that are based on their positions in the solar system.
The word “astrological” is derived from the ancient Greek word “astron” (which means “star”) and “logia” (meaning “the art of”). The first part of the word “astrological” is therefore “star-logia”, which literally means “the art of the stars”.
What are the signs of the Zodiac?
The zodiac signs are based on the positions of the sun, moon, and planets in the Solar System. They are the points on the celestial sphere that are directly opposite each other. As the moon moves through the sky, it passes the Sun, and as the sun moves through the sky, it passes the moon. These positions change every month, so each month you see the sun, moon, and planets in their new position.
